UB Online Championship 6 starts today at UB.com

Players on the Cereus Network (home to online poker sites UB.com and Absolute Poker) are in for a treat today as the annual UB Online Championship begins at 2:00pm EST. UBOC 6 features 29 online poker tournaments and has a guaranteed prize pool of $5million, with $1million guaranteed in the Main Event which has a $1,000+$50 buy-in. As well as the main UBOC series which has large buy-ins and is expected to attract the best online poker tournaments in the world, UB.com are also running a Mini-UBOC series for players with smaller bankrolls so everyone can participate in UBOC 6.
Each event of the UB Online Championship series will be hosted by a Team UB pro. The first event of the series kicks off with Eric Baldwin hosting the tournament which is a $500+$30 No-Limit Hold’em Deep Stack event with $250,000 guaranteed in prize money. Baldwin will also be hosting event 16 of the series – a $2,000+$100 buy in High Roller No-Limit Hold’em Deep Stack event which will have a guaranteed prize pool of $750,000 which is the second largest guarantee of the tournament.
The largest guaranteed tournament of the series is the UBOC Championship Monster Stack event which has a buy-in of $1,000+$50 and will have a guaranteed prize pool of $1million. The player hosting the event is Prahlad Friedman who hit headlines in recent weeks by becoming the newest Team UB pro, and he will also be hosting event number 13 – a $1,000+$50 No-Limit Hold’em Heads-Up tournament which will have a guaranteed prize pool of $128,000. Friedman will be hoping to make an impact in the series to make his presence on the site felt.
As well as the impressive prize pools, UB.com are also giving away lots of cash, t-shirts, and special watches. Each time you eliminate a Team UB professional your account will be credited with $200 in Tournament Dollars and UB will also send you a special UBOC 6 t-shirt. There are also 32 special UBOC watches up for grabs. Every player who wins one of the 29 UBOC events will win a watch, as will the winners of the Mini-UBOC Championship Main Event, the UBOC Bubble-Buster, and the Mini-UBOC Bubble Buster events.
